“To study (mindfulness) is to study the self, to study the self is to
let go of the self, to let go of the self is
to be one with all things”
Dogen,(Zen patriarch)
Awareness & Disidentification =
Wholeness & Well Being
Traditional
mindfulness practice is based on a systematic method of investigation & letting go of
our limited and often self defeating self-identification. Because this identification
defines who we are, it impedes our ability to be truly happy. Mindfulness
and contemporary western psychology are complimentary processes when
used together skillfully for the exploration of this conscious and mostly
unconscious identification. It is only through penetrating into these mental and emotional
structures/patterns that we can begin to learn how to let go of them. With this freedom comes wholeness or well being :our
true nature, and our ability to express it in our lives.
